Kevin Bull, Jr.

I’m Kevin Bull, Jr., a 22-year-old hard rock frontman, bass player, and songwriter based in Nashville. Originally from Virginia, I grew up classically trained, playing upright bass in orchestras from age 10, but at 15 I switched to electric bass because it better expressed my voice. I recently graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Commercial Music, and now I’m focusing on my hard rock solo project while working with a diverse range of artists, including performing at Bonnaroo ’25 with the indie-metalcore band RAWHONEY. I thoroughly enjoyed being part of this project and feel incredibly grateful to have been surrounded by such talented musicians, connecting deeply through music. I’m a huge fan of ’90s grunge bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, and Nirvana, those bands shaped how I play bass and sparked my love for heavy music. On the song “Not Alone,” I came up with a descending pentatonic lick inspired by those grunge bands for the vamp section, and everyone was vibing with it. Hearing the string players bring it to life absolutely floored me. I was honored to contribute some of my heavy music background to this project, it was definitely one of the most rewarding parts for me.
