Michelle Raybourn

Howdy! I’m Michelle Raybourn a 24-year-old, sixth-generation Texan now living in East Nashville, Tennessee. These days, I serve as the Worship and Arts Ministry Director at City Church of East Nashville, while also spending time writing and performing as an Americana singer-songwriter. I’ve loved music and performing since I was a kid, ever since I watched Barney on TV and told my mom, “I could do that.” Thankfully, my parents gave me the gift of a childhood filled with music lessons and rehearsals, without the pressure of child stardom. Most recently, I graduated from Belmont University in the fall of 2023 with degrees in Commercial Music, Songwriting, and Christian Leadership.

Being part of this project has been such a joy for so many reasons, but one of the most meaningful was getting to write in rooms with some of my musical heroes and friends. The days were full of laughter, learning, and finding common ground. I’ll always cherish the memories, especially the small talk over lunch and before recording.

I’m a twin! My brother lives in Nashville too, and we’re dear friends. And yes I can read his mind (but mostly because he’s easy to read and wears his heart on his sleeve). Imagine having a friend who shares your school, family, pop culture references, long drives, concerts, and inside jokes. So, it makes getting on the same page pretty easy.
