Nick Romes
I’m Nick Romes, a two-time Dove Award–nominated cinematographer, worship leader, guitar player, and songwriter currently living in Nashville, TN. Before relocating here, I served as worship leader and assistant pastor at New Creation Community Church in Phoenix, AZ, for six years. Growing up in Southern California, I always had a passion for music and songwriting. As a songwriter, my songs have been featured in TV and film projects with Walt Disney/ABC Family, Lifetime Network, and Walmart. Recently, a song I co-wrote was recorded by Grammy nominee and two-time Dove Award winner Joseph Habedank. In 2021, that song was nominated for a GMA Dove Award for Best Southern Gospel Song of the Year and also reached number one on the Southern Gospel charts that September.
I’ve had the privilege of sharing the stage with artists such as Darlene Zschech, Don Henley, The Pretenders, Hope Darst, and Josh Baldwin. As a cinematographer, I’ve worked with Chris Tomlin, Kari and Cody Carnes, Mandisa, Brian and Jen Johnson, 10th Ave North, Dave Barnes, Lindy Conant, David Leonard, Stu G, Selah, Paul Baloche, David and Nicole Binion, Matt Maher, and others. In 2021, I directed the music video “Christ Our King” for Integrity Music artist Village Lights, which was nominated for Best Short Form Music Video of the Year at the 2022 GMA Dove Awards.
As a worship leader and pastor, my greatest desire is to see the hearts of the church ignited with a passion for the Lord. I have a heart for building up and equipping worship leaders and worship teams. Leading worship is my joy, and I love guiding others into the presence of God. In my work as a cinematographer, I see the videos I produce as an extension of my own worship, and I’m passionate about partnering with artists to capture the vision God has placed on their hearts and bring it to life with excellence. My wife Stacey and I were married in 2007, and we have a beautiful daughter named Ella.
