Sarah Gerald
My name is Sarah Gerald, and I’m a 37-year-old singer and songwriter with a lifelong connection to music. I often say that Jesus is the light through which I see the world, and songwriting is how I interpret what I see. Music has been woven into my life from my earliest memories, shaped by the sounds of disco and doo-wop thanks to my father, a DJ. My musical influences are an unusual mix, somewhere between DMX and Hanson, which reflects my deep appreciation for both raw emotion and polished harmony. I’m especially drawn to the power of lyrics paired with melody, and I consider it a true privilege to pursue songwriting as a calling. In a writing session with me, you can expect moments of introspection, spontaneous emotion, and the occasional shift into a French phrase or random accent. For me, songwriting is more than a creative pursuit; it’s a sacred process of uncovering and articulating the human experience. I consider it an honor to explore the imagination and bring songs to life that resonate with truth and emotion.
